Annotation description:Immunostaining of Myosin VI in mature rat hippocampal neurons show partial colocalization with the synaptic marker PSD-95 (Fig. 2A)

Biochemical fractionation showed that Myo6 is enriched in the PSD fraction (Fig. 2 B) from the cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum.

Myosin VI deficient neurons have fewer synapses and dendritic spines (Fig. 5) and display defective AMPAR internalisation (Fig. 7).
