| Annotation description: | Immunostaining of Myosin VI in mature rat hippocampal neurons show partial colocalization with the synaptic marker PSD-95 (Fig. 2A) Biochemical fractionation showed that Myo6 is enriched in the PSD fraction (Fig. 2 B) from the cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum. Myosin VI deficient neurons have fewer synapses and dendritic spines (Fig. 5) and display defective AMPAR internalisation (Fig. 7). Myosin VI associates with PSD proteins (Fig. 6) |
