Annotation description:Data show quantitative immunogold labelling of postsynaptic structures in cortex (Figure 3) and hippocampus (Figure 4). Although clearly postsynaptic with accumulation at dendrites widespread receptor labelling is not juxtaposed to cholinergic release sites. This positioned to act as a postsynaptic sensor of volume transmission. Immunoreactivity controlled for specificity on knock out tissue.
