Annotation description:The role of PPP3R1 (called CNB1 in this article) is investigated using a mouse line that specifically knocks out PPP3R1 in Purkinje cells. In this mouse line, LTP is eliminated at the parallel fiber -> Purkinje cell synapse (figure 2A). Other synaptic parameters, including LTD (Figure 2) or paired pulse plasticity (Figure 3) are not affected.

The names used for the mouse line are a confusing. PPP3R1 is a regulatory subunit of PP2B (calcineurin).
