Annotation description: | The authors use an antibody against the extracellular domain Lasso, a cleaved fragment of teneurin-2 that stays membrane-anchored, for immunoEM of synaptosomes. Fig.4 F,G,I shows the postsynaptic localization. This postsynaptic localization is supported by a biochemical sub-fractionation of synaptosomes shown in Fig.4H. Fig.3 shows the interaction of Lasso/LPH1 in NBa2 cells which supports a membrane localization of Lasso. 22/6/2017 Pim - "extrinsic component" --> Teneurin is cleaved after the TMR on the extracellular side. It is therefore not an integral protein. Yet, it stays membrane anchored as show in Figs. 3-5; this is probably through binding to cell surface proteins. - Accession Q9R1K2-2 was retrieved by BLAST of human lasso protein sequence against rat uniprot proteins. The best scoring reviewed sequence was selected with match score: E-value: 0.0 Score: 13616 Ident.: 97.8% Positives : 99.1% Query Length: 2637 Match Length: 2765 One unreviewed sequence (A0A096P6L6) had marginally better score but this seems to endode an equivalent lasso sequence. |
