Annotation description: | The paper studies the distribution of NKAα1 and NKAα3 in the rat spiral ganglion and in the organ of Corti Figure 3D-E demonstrates membrane staining for NKAα3 directly surrounding cytoplasmatic Neurofilament 200, an intermediate filament enriched in the cytoplasm of both types I and II spiral ganglion somata and processes. NKAα3 immunoreactivity is localized to the cell membranes and bouton-shaped endings of the NF200-expressing type I afferent terminals. These staining support a postsynaptic membrane localization of the NKAα3. 19/8/2017 Pim - Localization to the plasma membrane not annotated because not shown in the experimental data. |
