Annotation description:Profilin-1 is detected in the the presynapse of rat hippocampus CA1 [Fig3D] and cerebellar cortex [Fig4B & C] as well as the spine in CA1 [Fig3B-D]. The presentence profilin-1 at both the pre- and postsynaptic side was also observed in cultured mouse hippocampal neurons [Fig 5A-C]. The localisation of the immuno-gold label are consistent with the role of profilins as actin regulators.
