Annotation description: | The dopamine transporter is an integral membrane protein of the presynaptic membrane. Pre-embedding immunogold and immunoperoxidase labelling demonstrates DAT-immunoreactivity predominantly along the plasma membrane of axons and axon terminals (Fig. 5-7). The DAT antiserum is a polyclonal antiserum directed against a synthetic peptide (aa42-59; LTNSTLINPPQTPVEAQE). The specificity of the antibody was demonstrated in a previous study (See reference 1). No KO-control. |
