Annotation description: | The dopamine transporter is an integral membrane protein of the postsynaptic membrane. Pre-embedding immunogold and immunoperoxidase labelling demonstrates DAT-immunoreactivity predominantly along the plasma membrane in dendrites and dendritic spines (Fig. 1-3). The majority of the DAT-immunoreactivity was localized to tyrosine-hydroxylase positive neurons. The DAT antiserum is a polyclonal antiserum directed against a synthetic peptide (aa42-59; LTNSTLINPPQTPVEAQE). The specificity of the antibody was demonstrated in a previous study (See reference 1). No KO-control. |
