Annotation description:Figure 1 shows enriched binding of P2X ligands to purified synaptosomes indicating synaptic localization. Figure 3A highlights how this synaptic associated receptor distributes across synaptic sub-compartments. Synaptosomes differentially detergent extracted to give presynaptic (pre), postsynaptic (post) and neuronal active zone (NAZ) show an enriched post-synaptic association of P2X-1 in pH 8 detergent insoluble fraction (post). Further, figure 3 shows selective staining with same P2X-1 selective antibody on intact synaptosomes immobilized on glass. (Antibodies quality controlled by Alamone).
