Annotation description: | The paper charactrerizes EAAT4 as a L-glutamate and L-aspartate transporter that shuttles these across membranes in a sodium-dependent manner. Table 1 summarized the results of an 3H-L-glutamate and 3H-L-aspartate uptake assays in Xenopus oocytes expressing the transporter. Injected oocytes had a 30-fold higher uptake of the compounds than uninjected controls. |
