Annotation description: | Authors used a polyclonal antibody against AIDA-1 generated in rabbit to study the protein distribution in vivo. This antibody identifies at least different isoforms of AIDA-1 (AIDA-1d, AIDA-1e and EB-1), being AIDA-1d and 1e found in synaptosomes and PSD fractions. Immunogold EM performed in hippocampus and more precisely in CA1 stratum radiatum shows gold particles closely associated with the PSD. Analysis of the location of those particles reveals a mean distance of 13 +/- 2 nm from the postsynaptic plasma membrane. 14/6/2017 Pim - Literal: "AIDA-1 is distributed fairly uniformly along the PSD, decreasing rapidly at its edge" |
