Annotation description: | The authors use siRNA to knock down CALM in cultured rat hippocampal neurons. Using synaptobrevin pHlourin they find a defect in internalization of synaptobrevin. However, there is no defect in internalization of vGlut pHlourin. They thus argue that CALM is not involved in synaptic vesicle endocytosis per se but in the sorting of synaptobrevin to synaptic vesicles. 29/5/2017 Pim - From Uniprot: "Assembly protein recruiting clathrin and adapter protein complex 2 (AP2) to cell membranes at sites of coated-pit formation and clathrin-vesicle assembly" PICALM BP is part of the endocytosis process -> "regulates ..." box is not checked. - Synaptobrevin is a marker protein of SV's |
