Annotation description: | - Overexpression of LRRTM4-Fc decreases excitatory synapse density in DIV14 hippocampal neurons (Figure 5, Myc-tagged LRRTM4). - Synaptogenic activity of LRRTM4 in HEK cells (Figures 6A-6D). (HEK cells, Myc-tagged LRRTM4). - LRRTM4 knockdown significantly decreases the density of dendritic protrusions in vivo and reduced synaptic currents (ctx neurons, shRNA KD). 24/5/2017 Pim - All points to a role of LRRTM4 in synapse assembly (aka synapse formation) via a trans-synaptic interaction with GPC4. |
