Annotated paper: | Hussain NK, et al. "MINK and TNIK differentially act on Rap2-mediated signal transduction to regulate neuronal structure and AMPA receptor function" J Neurosci. 2010 Nov 3;30(44):14786-94 PMID:21048137 |
Figure(s): | Figure 2, 3 |
Annotation description: | Figure 1C: MINK and TNIK enriched in PSD biochemical fractions prepared from rat brain, as compared to S1, S2, P1, P2 fractions. Figure 1D: In cultured hippocampal neurons at DIV23, a polyclonal antibody against MINK/TNIK showed localization to synaptic puncta (co-staining with Bassoon and Phalloidin, resolution does not allow for distinction between pre/post-synapse). Figure 2C: RNAi knockdown of MINK in hippocampal cultures after 18 DIV significantly reduced dendritic arbor complexity relative to control neurons. Figure 3: MINK and TNIK knockdown modulate spine density and surface expression of AMPA receptors. Figure 4: MINK and TNIK localization in neurons is modulated by the activation state of Rap2. Figure 6: MINK blocks Rap2-mediated reduction in surface GluR1 clusters. |
