Annotation description: | Figure 1-3: in COS-7 cells, SNK (PLK2) interacts with, and can degrate, postsynaptic protein SPAR (SIPA1L1). Further, SNK inhibits SPAR-mediated reorganization of actin cytoskeleton. Figure 4: immunofluorescence stainings in cultured hippocampal neurons showed overexpressed SNK is localized to dendritic spines and induces loss of SPAR, PSD-95 (DLG4), and Bassoon (BSN). Figure 5: overexpressed SNK induces loss of dendritic spines and increased filopodia in cultured hippocampal neurons. Figure 6: Synaptic activity induces endogenous SNK and leads to loss of SPAR and PSD-95. |
