| Annotation description: | "we stained cultured hippocampal neurons with antibodies directed against SENP7, MAP2, and the synaptic markers drebrin and synaptophysin. We acquired images using both confocal microscopy with a 40× objective (Figure 3A,G) and 3D-SIM microscopy (Figure 3B,C,H,I and Supplemental Figure S3A,B). Similarly to SENP1 and SENP6, we found that SENP7 is both a nuclear and cytoplasmic protein. Outside the nucleus, it partially colocalizes with synaptic markers, as indicated by Mander's and Pearson's correlation coefficients (Figure 3D-F,J-L)." |
