Annotation description: | Figure 1,2: yeast two-hybrid and co-immunoprecipitation in HEK293T cells showed α-Actinin-1 (ACTN1) interacts with GluR4 (GRIA4). Figure 3: "Myc-tagged full-length α-Actinin-1 and IQGAP1 clones were transfected into low density hippocampal primary neuronal cultures together with GFP-tagged GluR4, and the cellular localization of these proteins was analyzed by immunocytochemistry 2 days after transfection. GFP-GluR4, myc-α-Actinin-1 and myc-IQGAP1 all showed punctate signals throughout the dendrite, both in the shafts and the putative spines (Fig. 3). Moreover, clusters of GFP-GluR4 overlapped extensively with those of myc-α-Actinin-1 (Fig. 3a) and myc-IQGAP1 (Fig. 3b). Co-localizations patterns were even clearer with the surface population of GFP-GluR4 that was specifically labeled by live staining." Figure 4f: GRIA4 and ACTN1 co-localized in hippocampal neuronal cultures that were double-labeled with anti-GluR4 and anti-α-Actinin. |
