Annotation description:Figure 2: Mouse primary cortical neurons were immunostained for MAP2, synaptophysin, and neuronal pentraxin-2 (NPTX2 / NP2), which showed partial co-localization.

Figure 4: High-resolution confocal microscopy images of triple immunostained cerebral cortical sections were segmented to identify individual C1q, NP2, and synaptophysin spots. NP2 (as well as NP1) showed extensive colocalization with both synaptophysin and C1q.

Figure 5: in biochemical subfraction, NP2 was enriched in synaptic cytoplasm subfraction (as opposed to NP1 which was enriched in synaptic membrane fraction).
