Annotation description: | - K+-channel tetramerization domain-containing proteins (KCTDs) are auxiliary GABAB receptor (GBR) subunits. - Experiments were performed at the synaptic connection from medial habenula (MHb) to interpeduncular nucleus (IPN). -Using pre-embedding immunogold labelling, imaged with TEM, KCTD8 showed some localization at the active zone membrane whereas the majority was localized at the presynaptic plasma membrane at more than 50nm from active zone (Fig. 3c). - Absence of KCTD12b leads to an increased presence of KCTD8 at active zone (Fig. 7) |
