Annotation description:Proteolytic activty of MMP9 can increase the mobility of NMDA receptors in synapses, as detected by tracking of QD-labelled anti-NMDAR antibody. Application of inactive recombinant MMP9 (E402A) does not enhance mobility (Fig. 1D,E). Effect is mediated through integrin beta-1 signaling.
