SynGO term:regulation of postsynaptic neurotransmitter receptor endocytosis (GO:0099149)
Synapse type(s):hippocampus, glutamatergic
Annotated paper:Pandey S, et al. "The post-synaptic scaffolding protein tamalin regulates ligand-mediated trafficking of metabotropic glutamate receptors" J Biol Chem. 2020 Jun 19;295(25):8575-8588 PMID:32376687
Figure(s):Figure 7
Annotation description:Figure 7: Tamalin knockdown did not have any effect on the surface expression of GluA1-containing receptors. Chemically induced mGluR-mediated AMPAR endocytosis was disrupted after shRNA knockdown of Tamalin, rescued by WT Tamalin but not by mutated Tamalin where its S-SCAM (gene MAGI2) interaction site was disabled.
