Annotation description: | Figure 6, 8: postembedding immunogold labeling of climbing fiber synapses localized protein 4.1N (EPB41L1) to the PSD from E19 until P7, while at later timepoints it was associated with intracellular organelles, the cytoskeleton, and the plasma membrane. Protein 4.1N could also be detected presynaptically. Figure 7: Protein 4.1N (and SAP97/DLG1) colocalized with GluR1 (GluA1/GRIA1) in Purkinje cells at early ages. Protein 4.1N (EPB41L1), a neuronal homolog of protein 4.1R, associates with actin cytoskeleton (PMID:10414974, PMID:11604393). |
