Figure(s):Figure 1, 4, 5
Annotation description:Figure 1: TrkB receptors interact and co-localize with Slitrk5 in HEK293T cells. Super resolution imaging of DIV6 striatal neurons, treated with or without BDNF, showed surface-TrkB-receptors colocalized with Slitrk5 in a BDNF-dependent manner.

Figure 2: PTPδ and TrkB compete for binding to Slitrk5.

Figure 5: Slitrk5 facilitates TrkB receptor recruitment into Rab11-positive compartments.

Figure 6: Slitrk5 interacts with Rab11-FIP3 to facilitate TrkB receptor trafficking to Rab11-positive recycling endosomes

While co-localization with a PSD marker is not shown, authors inferred from these observations that Slitrk5 is localized to PSD membrane; "Here, we have shown that Slitrk5, a postsynaptic plasma membrane protein containing extracellular LRR domains, interacts under basal conditions with the presynaptic adhesion molecule PTPδ in trans, but in the presence of BDNF, shifts to a cis-interaction with TrkB receptor that mediates its postendocytic recycling, leading to functional resensitization of neurotrophic signaling."

Based on the known transmembrane topology of this protein, "integral component of ... membrane" term was selected.
