Annotation description: | Figure 4: Confocal imaging of hippocampal neuronal cultures with co-staining for Homer1c-mCherry and EPS15-GFP show this protein is localized at the postsynapse. Instead of GFP tagging, endogenous EPS15 was also tagged using CRISPR/Cas-9. Figure 5: time-lapse experiments on neurons co-expressing Homer1c and fluorophore-tagged EPS15 showed high association with PSDs. Figure 6: to dissect the spatial organization of endocytic proteins relative to the clathrin structure at the endocytic zone (EZ), authors used two-color single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM). Halo-CLCa co-transfected with GFP-tagged EPS15 showed that it was often distributed in smaller patches around and sometimes within the EZ marked by CLCa. |
