Annotation description:Authors used primary cultures from mouse hippocampal neurons to stain for PSD95 and Notch1 (Figure 1). There is co-localization between Notch1 and PSD95 (Figure 1C), while co-staining with synaptophysin is not so extensive (Figure S1B). Additionally, authors isolate postsynaptic densities biochemically and see increased Notch1 levels by western blot (Figure 1F).

In Figure 4A, authors confirm the antibody specificity in Notch1 conditional knock out by observing a loss of staining in CA1 neurons at the hippocampus.
