Additional literature: | in-situ hybridization showed Vezatin exhibited widespread gene expression with high levels in the hippocampus and medial habenular nucleus. Vezatin interacts with ARF6 in Y2H assay. In hippocampal neurons, Vezatin was localized at dendrites as well as cell bodies. Knockdown of endogenous Vezatin significantly reduced total dendritic length and arborization of cultured hippocampal neurons, while overexpression of Vezatin increased dendritic length @ PMID:20188128 Mechanistically, vezatin knockdown suppressed AMPAR-mediated synaptic events in epileptic mice and downregulated the surface expression of the AMPAR GluA1 subunit (GluA1). Interestingly, vezatin knockdown decreased the phosphorylation of GluA1 at serine 845 and reduced protein kinase A (PKA) phosphorylation; when PKA phosphorylation was suppressed by H-89 (a selective inhibitor of PKA phosphorylation) in vitro, the effects of vezatin knockdown on reducing the phosphorylation of GluA1 at serine 845 and the surface expression of GluA1 were blocked. @ PMID:34642320 vezatin has a selective role in the structural elaboration and postnatal maturation of murine neuromuscular synapses @ PMID:31411944 |
