Annotation description: | Figure 1B. western blot shows KIF5A,B,C were present in synaptic membrane fractions from mouse hippocampus. Figure S2. Confocal imaging of dissociated hippocampal neurons transfected with tdTomato and equal amounts of either KIF5A-GFP or KIF5B-GFP show puncta present in the heads of dendritic spines. Similar results were obtained from labeling with GFP and immunostaining with specific antibodies against either KIF5A or KIF5B. Further assays show that disruptions of KIF5A and KIF5B distinctly affects spine morphogenesis, plasticity and dendritic transport. |
