Annotation description: | With respect to subcellular localization, immunohistochemical, biochemical, and electron microscopy analysis in rat brain clearly delineated that Sipa1l3/SPAR3 protein is present within the postsynaptic compartment (Fig. 3 and p. 34). Sipa1l3/SPAR3 is found in synapses characterized by the presence of PSD95, VGLUT1 (Fig. 3b) and Bassoon (Fig. 4b) and is absent from synapses carrying GABAA receptors and VGAT (Fig. 3b). Sipa1l3/SPAR3 bind to ProSAPiP1/Lzts3 - a component of the postsynaptic Shank scaffolding platform (Fig. 4d,e). |
