Annotation description: | Long-term depression (LTD) at parallel fiber-Purkinje cell synapses is enhanced in delphilin KO mice. Ca2+ influx through voltage-gated Ca2+ channels, mGluR1 activation and AMPA receptor activation are required to induce LTD. When the calcium buffer EGTA (10 mM) was introduced into a Purkinje cell, LTD was strongly suppressed in the wild-type mice but only weakly in the mutant mice (Fig. 4B). These results suggest that LTD was induced with less intracellular Ca2+ in the mutant mice. This ticket is related to ticket ID 4511. |
