Annotation description: | Array Tomography, a tool for imaging the molecular architecture and ultrastructure of neuronal circuitry 25/4/2017 Pim - Authors use SubSynMAP --> a novel combination of previously developed volumetric super-resolution imaging of deconvolution array tomography (ATD). This technique uses the computational integration of wide-field fluorescence images to derive super-resolution level data on intracellular localization. - The authors state "The application of our synapse analysis method demonstrates that, across synapse classes and cortical layers, FXR1P and FXR2P unlike FMRP are preferentially localized to the post-synaptic region (Figure 7A-D, Figure 7-figure supplement 1A-D); but like FMRP, the distributions of FXR1P and FXR2P peak away from the synaptic cleft". This data justifies annotation against "postsynapse". 10/05/2017 Tilmann - The authors state on page 11: "FXR2P unlike FMRP are preferentially localized to the post-synaptic region (Figure 7A-D, Figure 7-figure supplement 1A-D)" |
