| Annotation description: | Fig. 1: Cntnap4 is present at presynaptic fraction, Fc-tagged Cntnap4 binds to soma and proximal dendrites, apposed to gephyrin puncta. 13/4/2017 Pim - Cntnap4 has a TM domain. The Fc-tagged Cntnap4 construct is the extracellular domain of this protein. Fig.1 suggests that Cntnap4 is a presynaptic TM protein that interacts with proteins attached to gephyrin-positive postsynaptic elements. For this to occur the protein must be positioned in the presynaptic plasma membrane. This is not directly shown, but implied in the paper. - "Integral component ..." is inferred form the TM domain of Cntnap4. |
