| Annotation description: | The paper uses cultured rat neurons and immunofluorescence antibody staining for endogenous synaptic proteins, and Figure 4 shows strong colocalization of Cntnap2/Caspr2 with the inhibitory presynaptic marker GAD65 and relatively weak colocalization of Cntnap2 with the excitatory presynaptic marker vGluT1.
