Annotation description: | Fig 2A-B: Immunocytochemical study demonstrates colocalisation (~90%) of endogenous SALM1 (green) with presynaptic excitatory synapse marker VGluT1 (red). FigC: Higher magnification indicates SALM1 puncta fully overlapping with presynaptic VGluT1 puncta. Fig D-E: Electron micrographs showing subsynaptic localization of endogenous SALM1 in mouse hippocampal brain slices. SALM1 immunogold particles are detected in presynapses (indicated by orange and magenta arrows) and were mostly detected in presynaptic terminals (~60%). Figure S1B-D : Western blot showing lysates of HEK cells transfected with empty vector (control), SALM1-mCherry or SALM2, 3, 4 or 5-FLAG were stained for anti-SALM1. The SALM1 antibodies specifically recognize SALM1-mCherry. |
