| Annotation description: | By using pulldown assays from heterologous expression of recombinant proteins and from rat synaptosomal preparations, researchers have shown that AKAP150/79 is localized in the postsynaptic density by direct binding to PSD-95 and SAP97. Moreover, these interactions also target AKAP150/79 to NMDA and AMPA receptors, respectively. Researchers also show that AKAP150 colocalizes with PSD-95 in immunostained primary hippocampal neurons using confocal microscopy. |
