Annotation description: | Figure 4: Ube3A ubiquitinates small conductance potassium channels (SK) regulating its cell surface expression. Figure 5: Reversal of LTP impairment in Ube3A null (AS) mice by apamin, an SK2 channel blocker shows that Ube3A depletion leads to higher membrane expression of SK2 leading to LTP impairments. Figure 6: TBS failed to induce LTP in hippocampal slices from AS mice. 19/6/2018 Pim - I find no data in the paper that places the SK2 endocytosis in the pre or postsynaptic compartment. The annotation of pre/postsynaptic endocytosis of the ion channel will not be made (and new terms implemented). Instead the annotation to 'modulation of chemical synaptic transmission (GO:0050804)' will be made to capture the effects on LTP. |
