Annotation description: | siRNA-mediated knockdown of Fbxo45 significantly increased mEPSC frequency without changing its amplitude. Overexpression of Fbxo45 decreased the mEPSC frequency. Neither affected the number of synapses suggesting that Fbxo45 regulates neurotransmission machinery. Fbxo45 interacts with Skp1 and induces protein ubiquitination. Fbxo45 binds Munc13-1 and Fbxo45 over expression reduces Munc13-1 levels while siRNA mediated Fbxo45 knockdown delays Munc13-1 degradation suggesting that Fbxo45 controls synaptic vesicle fusion via Muc13-1. |
