The KD of STX3 (but not of STX1 or STX4) prevents the LTP related increase of AMPARs in the postsynaptic membrane (controlled by rescue with OE of STX3). There results are combined (by the authors; author intent) with the prior knowledge of the function of STX3 as a plasma membrane SNARE.
