- The effect of Tiam1 as a regulator of actin modifications is inferred (by me and the authors) based on the known role of Tiam1 as a Rac1 GEF, the known role of Rac1 in synaptic actin dynamics, the effect of Tiam1 perturbation on Rac1 activation in cultured neurons (Fig.3), and the effect of Tiam1 perturbation on dendritic spine parameters.
