Annotation description:CRMP2 was shown to interact with CaV2.2 by coIP from synaptosome and hippocampal lysates, and by GST pulldown assays. Confocal microscopy using CRMP2 and CaV2.2 antibodies shows colocalisation of both proteins at synapses.

- Eperiments on localization are not conclusive in this paper to support term 'presynapse (GO:0098793)'. However, presynaptic annotation comes from:
* Cav2.2 is a spcefically presynaptic Ca-channel. The authors seem to suggest that much in the Intro: "The N-type presynaptic Ca2+ channel (CaV2.2) is the predominant source of Ca2+ influx required for neurotransmitter release at immature CNS synapses (1)"
* CRMP2 is target to the synapse (See Fig.8a, over-expression of GFP-tagged mouse CRMP2)
* CRMP2 regulates SV release (Fig.8)
* CRMP2 regulates Glutamate release via Ca2.2 (Fig.9)
Together, I allow therefore annotation against term 'presynapse (GO:0098793)'.
