Its interaction with Cask and its biochemical properties suggest a function at the presynaptic active zone (Stafford et al., 2011a, 2011b; Tabuchi et al., 2002). In agreement with this assumption, we found Caskin1 enriched in the synaptic layers of the retina, similar as in the brain (Tabuchi et al., 2002), and located in a punctate manner with Cask close to the active zone protein RIM1/2." |
