Annotation description: | Fig.2: "NL3 in rodent brain is enriched in synaptic membrane fractions." - "A significant fraction of NL3 was recovered in the Triton X-100-insoluble postsynaptic density fraction containing PSD95 and NMDA (NR1) and AMPA (GluR2/3) glutamate receptors (Fig. 2B). NL3 was also detected in other subcellular fractions, which might reflect the existence of nonsynaptic and intracellular pools of NL3 (see below)." Fig.3: "NL3 is highly expressed in hippocampal neurons." - "We observed punctate staining along neuronal processes costained with the dendritic marker MAP2 (data not shown). Double-labelling with a presynaptic vesicle marker, synaptobrevin/VAMP2, indicated that a significant proportion of the NL3-positive structures are apposed to presynaptic terminals (Fig. 3A). " Fig.4: "NL3 is localized at both glutamatergic and GABAergic synapses in hippocampal neurons.
