Annotation description: | Flotillin-2 regulates in cooperation with Rab11a membrane trafficking processes in spines and participates in LTP-related AMPA receptor (GluA1) surface exposure in mouse hippocampal neurons. 13/4/2017 Pim Fig.1 A-G - shRNA KD of Reggie1 or reggie2 results in less spines --> regulation of dendritic spine organization - Reggie1 KO mouse no effect on spine number, but less spine synapses --> regulation of synapse organization Fig.1 G-J - Reggie1 and Reggie2 localize to synaptic component transport vesicles in dendrites. Fig.2 A,B - RFP-Reggie1 is co-transported with PSD-95 in dendrites Fig.2 C-Fig - Reggie1 KD causes reduction in number of spine synapses (measured as juxtaposed presynaptic FM4-64FX and postsynaptic PSD-95-EGFP staining). Fig.3 - Reggie1 KO cells show impaired transport of PSD-95, and reduced number of synapses (measured as juxtaposed synaptophysin/PSD-95 staining) |
