Annotation description: | Slitrks interact with PTPRS. Knock-down of PTPRS reduces excitatory synapse formation. 19/2/2018 Pim - SLITRK2 is a known postsynaptic protein (see ticket #?????). It is shown to mediate cell-cell adhesion with PTPRS and PTPRD in a cell-adhesion assay (Fig.4A+B). SLITRK2 expressed in HEKcells is able to induce clustering of Glutamatergic and GABA ergic presynaptic (Synapsin1, VGLUT1, GAD67) but not postsynaptic (PSD-95) markers (Fig.4C+D). Overexpression (Fig.2) and KD (Fig.3) of SLITRK2 change the number of Glut (not GABA) synapses. |
