Annotation description: | Figure 2: "Recombinant Slitrk3 localizes to inhibitory postsynaptic sites" - "A majority of YFP-Slitrk3 puncta colocalized well with clusters of the inhibitory postsynaptic scaffold gephyrin apposed to VGAT (Fig. 2a) and with GABA receptor γ2 clusters apposed to VGAT (Fig. 2b), but hardly colocalized with excitatory postsynaptic scaffold PSD-95 or VGLUT1 (Fig. 2c,d). The presence of YFP-Slitrk3 puncta in dendrites but not axons of transfected neurons indicated postsynaptic and not presynaptic accumulation (Supplementary Fig. 3)." - Based on the known transmembrane topology of the protein, the "integral component of ... membrane" term was chosen. |
