Annotation description: | From results section: To identify the potential subcellular site of interaction between 14-3-3 and CaV2.2 channels, we coimmunostained cultured rat hippocampal neurons with either the 14-3-3γ or α1B antibody, together with the synapsin I antibody that specifically labels the presynaptic terminals (Sudhof and Jahn, 1991). Although both 14-3-3γ and α1B subunits distribute broadly in both the somata and neurites, they exhibit extensive costaining with synapsin I in presynaptic terminals (Figure 1B), suggesting that this protein complex may be present in presynaptic terminals and play a role in regulating synaptic transmissions. |
