HA-GPC4 expressed in 293T cells induces clustering of the excitatory postsynaptic marker PSD-95 but not of the inhibitory postsynaptic marker gephyrin in coculture assays. HA-GPC4-mediated clustering of endogenous LRRTM4 in contacting dendrites requires GAG chains in coculture assays. 21/2/2018 Pim - Abstract: "Glypican binds LRRTM4, but not LRRTM2, in an HS-dependent manner. Glypican 4 (GPC4) and LRRTM4 localize to the pre- and postsynaptic membranes of excitatory synapses, respectively.
