Annotation description:Narp, a secreted protein, accumulates at the surface of excitatory synapses on live labelled cultured neurons (Fig. 3). In immuno-EM, Narp1 labeling is predominant within the synaptic cleft (Fig. 6). Its localization to the postsynaptic specialization membrane is in agreement with the interaction of Narp with the extracellular domains of heterologously expressed GluA1/2/3 and its formation of a complex with GluA1 in the brain (Fig. 7, 8).
