Annotation description: | The paper looks at muscarinic receptor modulation of the K+ evoked release of radiolabelled Acetylcholine (Figure 1B) , pre-incubated in brain slices, by generic muscarinic receptor agonist oxotremorine . The profound inhibition mediated by this agonist in hippocampal (Figure 2) and Cortical (Figure 3) brain slices slices from wild type mice is compared with those from mChR2 knockout mice. 18/01/2018 Pim - The ACh-release experiments are on slices and do not provide a direct synaptic context. The synaptic context is provided by the localization studies in Fig.5+6 that show co-localization of CHRM2 and the vesicular ACh transporter (only striatum shown). |
