| Annotation description: | Fig.6A,B shows that manipulating the expression level of Farp1 in postsynaptic neurons acts across synapses to regulate the intensity of the active zone marker bassoon at the presynaptic inputs these postsynaptic neurons receive. Fig.6C shows that this retrograde trans-synaptic effect of Farp1 depends on SynCAM 1. These results support that postsynaptic Farp1 can modulate the composition of presynaptic active zones. |
