| Annotation description: | This work utilizes considers the organization of postsynaptic arborisation and functional synaptic connectivity when Cadherin 8 is selective deleted from the subset of bipolar cells that selectively express this gene. Figure 4 A, B and D provide morphological evidence that axon arborisation and specific recognition are disrupted. Figure 4 J reinforces this by showing a large reduction in synaptic connectivity based on optogenetically precise stimulation of the bipolar cells onto the ganglion cells with which it synapses. |
